Wijaya Kusuma Contractors played a key role in building the Alila Solo Hotel, one of the tallest buildings in Central Java. Finished in 2015, this luxury hotel was designed by Budiman Hendropurnomo from DCM Jakarta. It covers 49,306 square meters across 27 floors and has two basements comprising 261 hotel rooms.
The hotel features an Olympic-size pool on the mezzanine, restaurants, a retail area, a gym, and a spa, all showcasing high standards of luxury. A standout feature is its 2,071-square-meter ballroom, which is columnless. This design uses prestressed beams that measure 2 meters by 3 meters and stretch 40 meters long to support the roof and the pool above.
Along with its impressive size and design, the project also focused on eco-friendly building practices and energy-efficient systems, reflecting Wijaya Kusuma Contractors' commitment to sustainability. Alila Solo is a regional landmark highlighting WKC’s skill in managing large, high-profile projects with precision, innovation, and a focus on environmental responsibility.
