Wijaya Kusuma Contractors completed the Central Market at Pantai Indah Kapuk for Agung Sedayu Group in 2022. We completed this project quickly and required careful planning to meet the client’s needs. The market offers a unique semi-outdoor shopping experience combining modern retail with a natural atmosphere. Sustainability was a key focus, aiming to create an eco-friendly space.
The market features a contemporary tropical lifestyle concept, with green landscapes throughout to provide comfort for visitors, aligning with the Back to Basic campaign. It uses 60% of its energy from solar panels and has a natural ventilation system. The design connects the building with nature, improving light and airflow.
The market uses raw materials like natural stone and reclaimed wood, showing its commitment to environmental responsibility. Due to these efforts, Central Market PIK received a green building certificate, making it the first establishment in PIK to achieve this honor. Tenants and visitors are encouraged to promote sustainability through initiatives like the No Plastic campaign. This project demonstrates our ability to deliver quality results quickly while focusing on sustainability and innovation.
