Tempo Magazine built its headquarters and printing facility in Slipi, Jakarta, with help from Wijaya Kusuma Contractors, finishing in 2015. The building is almost 14,000 square meters and has nine floors. One major challenge was keeping the printing facility running during construction. WKC addressed this by building a steel cage around the large printing press, allowing it to operate without interruptions. This was especially crucial during the 2014 Indonesian election when the press needed to print voting ballots.
The architect aimed to create a space that met Tempo Magazine's attractive and functional needs. The design mixed modern features with the requirements of a busy printing area. Despite the challenges, the project combined form and function, resulting in a contemporary workspace supporting Tempo Magazine's daily operations.
WKC showed its expertise by managing the construction while maintaining smooth printing operations. Completing the project in 2015 gave Tempo Magazine a state-of-the-art headquarters. It highlighted the successful teamwork between WKC and the architect, creating a significant facility in Jakarta's media landscape.
