We have finished building the new high school library at Jakarta Intercultural School (JIS). This modern library combines excellent design with practical features. We worked closely with PDW Architecture to bring this project to life. One major challenge was keeping everyone safe during construction, mainly because the site is complex. We took special care to protect the surrounding area and devised an innovative way to keep the existing bridge that connects other buildings to the old high school library. We plan to reconnect this bridge to the new library later.
The library uses energy-efficient systems that maximize natural light while lowering energy use. We also chose environmentally friendly materials to support JIS's sustainability goals. The library's design allows for future changes and expansions as the school grows. Architecturally, it fits well with the existing campus and offers a space for group work and individual study.
